Verbatim: A Novel

Notes on an unconventional book

On the radio

Above is a snapshot taken during an interview with Anthony Germaine of the St. John’s CBC, through the production booth glass, by Beth Janzen. It was about 8:05 a.m. on 18 June. He’s on the left, I’m back on, and Nancy  Walsh is to the right. The previous night I’d done a reading at The Ship Inn, a pub, and Anthony, the host of The Morning Show, kindly invited me on to talk about the book. Apart from asking good questions, he had made the excellent suggestion that I bring a signed copy of Verbatim: A Novel to give away to a listener. Hopefully the lucky caller enjoys it. Radio is a great medium that is very comfortable and intimate. The free food from the cafeteria was very much appreciated, too.
